The Rashid Museum is located on the West Bank at the mouth of the Nile River in the Mediterranean Sea, 65 km northeast of Alexandria. The museum's holdings are displayed in one of the most famous and largest houses of Rashid, the Arab Kulli House, which was a conservative of the city, and was built in the 18th century AD, The house consists of four floors highlighting the characteristics of architecture and Islamic arts in this period.
The museum contains holdings and models that highlight the struggle of the people of Rashid and the battles it fought against the French and English colonists, and includes pictures of the battles and family life, crafts and folk industries, manuscripts and tools for daily life, in addition to a copy of the Rosetta Stone that was uncovered in Rashid in 1799 and a collection of weapons from the 18th and 19th centuries . The museum also displays some of the Islamic relics recently discovered in Rashid as Islamic coins and pottery.
